Louisiana Children’s Museum has partnered with the New Orleans Public Library and the City of New Orleans Mayor’s Office of Youth and Families to offer local public school second graders an opportunity for an engaging literacy and literature experience.
Each second-grade class visits the museum and the main branch of the library and receives a copy of an educator-selected, enriching children’s book. Teachers receive a class book and supplemental learning materials designed by educators and LCM and NOPL. Students are invited to participate in companion writing activities and display their results at both venues.
