Our MamaVa Lactation Pod is located on the first floor near the front desk. It is open for mothers needing privacy to breastfeed or pump. Please stop by our front desk for more information.

The museum has two parking lots available in our designated guest parking lot off Henry Thomas Drive. Please DO NOT park directly on Henry Thomas Drive. Visitors may also park alongside Roosevelt Mall and enter by way of the foot bridge over Little Lake or from nearby lots on Henry Thomas Drive and Friedrichs Avenue. All parking at the museum and in City Park is FREE!

Yes, in order to ensure that children, families and caregivers have the best possible experience when visiting the LCM, we will require timed entry tickets for in order to operate with limited capacity. Timed entry tickets are required for LCM Members and general admission guests. Timed entry tickets are available for purchase online. Timed entry tickets should be printed out and presented at visitor services. Timed entry tickets can also be saved on your mobile phone and scanned at visitor services.

Yes, LCM has several Community Spaces that are open to the public, including our Literacy Center, Talk & Play Center, Acorn Café (our on-site restaurant from Dickie Brennan & Company) and Museum Store.

Acorn is a family-friendly café with the standards of a Dickie Brennan restaurant with high-quality, local food at an affordable price. We’re sensitive to the fact that many families and especially those with young children are on budgets. The majority of the child’s menu items are $6, and adult entrees range from $6 to $11.

Acorn's menu includes soups, salads, sandwiches, and pizzas and will change seasonally. The food is available quickly, flavorful and approachable utilizing healthy, clean, local ingredients. The menu includes a selection of items from soups, salads, sandwiches, and pizzas to appeal to the young, young at heart and even the picky eaters. Those wanting an even quicker option can select from a selection of grab-and-go items. Coffee and pastries will be served for a morning starter or an afternoon pick-me-up. A selection of non-caffeinated beverages will be available as well as a curated selection of beer and wine.

Yes, beer and wine are served. The beer list includes many local options.

We’re aware that food allergies are prevalent today and have been mindful of allergies in the creation of our menu. Acorn is peanut free and offers many gluten-free options, including a gluten-free dough for pizzas. The staff is trained in food safety with an emphasis on food allergies.
