Summer in the Swamp is a brand-new camp for grades 6-8! It will immerse participants in hands-on learning and adventure, cultivating environmental stewardship and problem-solving skills in one of the nation’s most unique ecological settings.
Designed Especially for Kids in Grades 6-8
From Monday, July 14 – Friday, July 18, 2025, Summer in the Swamp is tailored for middle school students eager to explore Louisiana’s wetlands and tackle real-world environmental challenge.
Campers will engage in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) activities that delve into topics like green infrastructure, civic engagement, and habitat restoration while enjoying field trips, games, and collaborative design challenges.
Graduates will earn the prestigious LCM Swamp Steward Certification, recognizing their commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness.
