Sharing Station and Look & Learn Microscope
The Sharing Station is a natural collection of materials that children can explore up close. Specimens that can be examined independently (leaves, sticks, rocks, etc.) live in jars on shelves in the exhibit. Guests can use the high-powered microscope at the Look & Learn Station to examine specimens more closely.
Additional Exhibits
Trading Post
Nature is full of treasures. Bring them to the Trading Post to see them UP CLOSE, identify, and trade them with the soon-to-be-friends you meet there.
Promise Tree
Make leaf rubbings of trees found in City Park and write promises on the back of their leaf rubbings.
Storytelling Nest
A cozy nest, books, puppets, and customizable soundscapes are just a few of the ways to explore the magic of bayou life here. It’s up to you to find the rest.
Wave Wall
The Wave Wall is a tank where guests can turn a crank and watch as their energy is transferred through a paddle and then generates a wave. The wave then pushes against a large pile of sand demonstrating the process of erosion.
