At the Louisiana Children’s Museum, learning is FUN! Classroom lessons come to life as children explore and experience 30,000 square-feet of exhibits, art activities, educational programs and hands-on fun unique to the Museum. To schedule a group visit, download your choice field trip reservation form and either fax it to 504-529-3666 or email it to groups@lcm.org.

Family memberships or coupons may not be used for field trips, as our group rates are already discounted.

  • Self-Guided Field Trip

    The traditional Self-Guided Field Trip is ideal for all ages and encourages children to explore the Museum at their own pace. FIELD TRIPS ARE AVAILABLE TUESDAY – FRIDAY FROM 9:30AM – 4:30PM.Group rates are extended only to organized groups (schools, churches, camps, home school groups) of 15 or more who have scheduled a visit in advance.

    GROUP RATE: $4.50 per person (plus 5% Louisiana sales tax)

    • Lunch Space For Groups

      Upon availability, LCM offers a private lunch space for groups at the end of your field trip for an additional $1.00 per person. The lunch space must be booked in advance and is not available during the months of June through August. The first-floor snack area is for the use of general admission guests and is not offered to groups.


      Literacy Pathways

      Literacy Pathways are ideal for grades PreK-2nd and allow students to enjoy a two-hour guided experience with special emphasis on literacy and listening skills, phonemics and contextual learning. This field trip is FREE and available ONLY to Public Schools in Orleans and Jefferson Parish. Groups MUST have a minimum of 40 and a maximum of 60 students to qualify. Literacy Pathways can be scheduled only on Monday or Tuesday.
