Security Guard

LCM shows children they matter and exists to strengthen and support families. Be a part of a place where wonderful things happen daily!





Saturdays 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sundays 11:00 am-5:00 pm.

Potential for weekday and after-hours events work as well.






Paid breaks and holidays, paid parental leave, 403 (b), party room and after-hours privileges, Acorn Café and Gift Shop discounts.

Job Summary

The Security Guard will protect people and property from possible criminal activity.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Promote the culture and brand of LCM.
  • Project a positive image of the organization to employees, volunteers, guests, and the community.
  • Patrol and monitor assigned areas including parking lots and grounds; report suspicious activities to local authorities.
  • Monitor crowds.
  • Contact law enforcement or the fire department in case of an emergency.
  • After business hours, check doors, windows, and gates to ensure the property is secure.
  • Investigate reports of suspicious activity on the property.
  • Reasonably detain persons suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.
  • Escort discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of Security Guard experience
  • Excellent observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Authoritative verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to learn the layout of the property and building.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Security guard training certification


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to patrol the property and access areas quickly.
  • Physically able to capture and detain individuals if necessary.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and monitoring surveillance equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
