Group Experience Supervisor

GROUP EXPERIENCE SUPERVISOR

 

Schedule: Wednesdays to Fridays from 9 am-2 pm, Saturdays 9 am-5 pm, and Sundays 11 am-5 pm

 

Compensation: $16/hr.

Reports to: Marketing & Sales Coordinator

 

Job Summary:

The Group Experience Supervisor is responsible for the delivery of the museum’s group visit experience, including field trips and birthdays. The position ensures the creation of meaningful and fun memories for children, caregivers, educators, and all accompanying guests. The Group Experience Supervisor oversees the field trip experience from Wednesdays to Fridays and welcomes groups upon arrival, provides an orientation, facilitates group rotations, assists museum staff in monitoring the group field trip experience, and serves as the on-site liaison between the field trip guests and museum staff. The Group Experience Supervisor oversees the birthday experience on Saturdays and Sundays and ensures an extraordinary experience for each child celebrating with LCM. The Group Experience Supervisor provides support to the Birthday Hosts and manages the check-in process, works with the onsite caterer, and manages customer service requests as they arise.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, orient, train, and coach Birthday Hosts.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage the daily birthday party and field trip experience to ensure all guests are receiving excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate the daily field trip and party schedule.
  • Problem solve any customer service or staffing issues related to birthday parties and field trips.
  • Prep and set up the Celebration Rooms before each party time slot by checking for cleanliness, supplies, ambiance, and any catering orders.
  • Act as a liaison with Acorn Dickie Brennan’s staff to coordinate catering delivery to the Celebration Rooms.
  • Greet party families at check-in, escort the family to the Celebration Rooms and introduce them to their Birthday Host.
  • Manage the Celebration Rooms by ensuring cleanliness, replenishing all supplies as needed, and verifying all birthday supplies are prepared before and post all scheduled parties.
  • Prepare materials for Field Trip guests before their visit.
  • Attend weekly One on One meetings with the Marketing and Sales Coordinator.
  • Step in as a Birthday Party Host or Play Facilitator as needed.
  • Coordinates with the Museum Experience Manager, Museum Experience Assistant Manager, Visitor Services Manager, Visitor Services Associates, Birthday Hosts, and Play Facilitators.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a child and/or family setting
  • Proficient in MS Office 365
  • Excellent communication, time management, problem-solving, and detail orientation skills
