Circus Magic Night

5:00 p.m.The Louisiana Children’s Museum invites you to experience a surge of excitement at Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey’s Fully Charged™ on Thursday, June 21 at the New Orleans Arena.
The most electrifying edition ever of Ringling Bros.® celebrates ‘performance power’ that boosts ‘circus-goers’ excitement. This show offers breathtaking dare-devilry, superhuman stunts and never-before-seen performances that energize children of all ages!

Louisiana Children’s MuseumOnce a year, the Louisiana Children’s Museum opens its big blue doors for this festive fundraiser where grown-ups can be kids again, featuring one-of-a-kind, hand-painted whimsical chairs from artists and organizations around the city, as well as artwork, jewelry, travel packages and other exciting live and silent auction items. More than 20 gourmet restaurants will provide delicious samplings of their cuisines for attendees to enjoy, as well as premium cocktails and entertainment.

The Louisiana Children’s Museum is delighted to announce the inaugural Festival of Trees. The Festival of Trees will be a month-long exhibit featuring a forest of whimsically decorated trees by community partners that represent the arts, literature, food, culture and businesses from throughout the region. Children’s World’s Fair

Louisiana Children’s Museum-Outdoor Festival on Julia Street
The Louisiana Children’s Museum is excited to announce the 14th Children’s World’s Fair to be held on March 10, 2012 at the Louisiana Children’s Museum and extending onto Julia Street. This year’s event will celebrate sports and games across the world in honor of the 2012 Olympic Games. We invite you to travel to Julia Street and take a trip around the world!The Children’s World’s Fair is a unique, daylong journey where children ages 4-14 celebrate the cultures from across the globe. Our great big world will be brought down to size as children explore the games, music, literature, native attire, crafts, and flavors as they travel to far away destination such as Germany, Holland, Indonesia, Japan, Peru and more!
This intergenerational journey around the world will begin with the Early Explorers Patron Party from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. where guests can get a first look at the exhibits without the large crowds. Early Explorer packages begin at $125 for four tickets. At 1:00 p.m. all adventurers are invited to join the fun. General admission tickets are $20 each ($16 for members) and can be purchased at www.lcm.org.
The proceeds from the Children’s World’s Fair are critical to the efforts of the Louisiana Children’s Museum to support the exciting hands-on exhibits, educational programs and fun, safe and meaningful learning opportunities for the children of Greater New Orleans.
The Museum will be closed on Friday, March 9, 2012 in preparation for the Children’s World’s Fair.
